I think you should add to that definition [of an all nighter] that the work itself need not have been initially excessive - it need only have become so due extreme, um, procrastination.

NOT in principle >.<  you'rs is merely a messed up sleep schedule!!  in which you sleep during the afternoon or evening

so I could say with equal validity that I pull "all afternooners" or "all evening-ers" every day....because I don't go to sleep at 5pm.  and in theory, it should be equally impressive. 

all nighters are only impressive if you follow a normal sleep pattern--UNTIL night time, THEN you don't sleep.

at least, in my mind ;)
